From the outside rather inconspicuous, we take you on a journey through Camagüey in Casa 1902. The large entrance hall is characterized by Corinthian columns and the high wooden ceilings typical at that time. In the back part we have set up a small reading corner for you. Here you sit in the shade with a view of the entrance hall and the patio.
We redesigned the courtyard with palazzo tiles, which were made in Camagüey, in order to create a tasteful casa particular with historical charm. Sun loungers and lounge furniture make our patio the perfect oasis for relaxation. In the rooms we made sure to keep the original stone floors with their unique motifs. High ceilings and an open architecture ensure a pleasant climate – even on hot days.
Each room is newly renovated and nicely furnished, has a comfortable bed with a width of 1.60 meters, air conditioning and a fan. Of course, every room has its own bathroom with a spacious shower and hot and cold water. Fresh bed linen and towels from Europe are a matter of course for us. If you want, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast the next morning at our Casa Particular in Camagüey.
The location of the house is absolutely central and all highlights of Camagüey are within walking distance. And the warmth and helpfulness of Yolanda and Evidio will sweeten your Cuba vacation.

WE EXPLAIN
What is a Casa Particular?
A Casa Particular is the Cuban version of “Bed and Breakfast” – with and without breakfast, as everyone likes. These private accommodations have become firmly established in the past two decades and range from simple accommodations to overnight stays in luxuriously furnished houses. So it may be that you come across a nice apartment with a separate entrance or sometimes walk right through the owner’s apartment to get to your room. Both have their own special charm.
The special thing about a Casa Particular is that you live together with a Cuban family under one roof. And so you get unique insights into Cuban life. Despite the proximity to the families, ma always gets a private room with a private bathroom in every private accommodation.

Enjoy a high standard
Not only in Camagüey, the Casa Particulares now offer a better standard than the state-run hotels and are also preferable in most cases. The Casa owners go out of their way to make their stay in their Casa Particular as pleasant as possible for the guests and are happy to help with the journey.
A rich breakfast with freshly brewed coffee, freshly squeezed juices and sun-ripened fruit make a Cuban breakfast – preferably outdoors – something special. The Cuban hospitality is unique and will make your stay in a Casa Particular an unforgettable experience!
You can generally recognize private accommodation by the blue anchor on a white background, which identifies the landlord as the official “Arrendador Divisa”.

“We had a great time at Yolandas place. The accommodation is very pretty and the breakfast was one of the best we had. Yolanda literally went the extra mile when showing us a restaurant near the flat. The place is also very well situated in Camagüey.”

THE SMALL DIFFERENCE
Which Casa Particular categories are there
It has been some time since the first Casa Particulares were established in Cuba. And Cuba continues to develop in the area of private letting, so that two categories of casa particulares can now be distinguished:
Standard Casa Particular
The vast majority of casas belong to the first category. But even in a standard casa particular you can enjoy the proverbial hospitality of the Cuban owners in most cases. They are clean and safe. You only have to make a few cuts when it comes to equipment, as they are usually easier to set up and set up. In smaller towns, it is usually only possible to book a standard casa particular.

Boutique Casa Particular
Deluxe Casa Particulares have been created in larger cities for a few years and impress with their style and luxurious features. If you are looking for something special on your trip to Cuba, we highly recommend this Casa category. Some of these deluxe casa particulares are almost like a small boutique hotel and can even boast a pool. Here you can look forward to high-quality furniture and architectural details that are lovingly staged. Deluxe casa particulares can now be found in Havana, Trinidad, Cienfuegos and Camagüey.
Most casas offer rooms for two to three people. The third bed often seems out of place and is usually found in a standard casa particular. A private bathroom has long been a good thing, just like air conditioning and a fan. Many casas now also equip their rooms with a small refrigerator and a television. Fresh bed linen and towels are of course in both categories.
As a rule, Cuba vacationers book a breakfast in addition to an overnight stay in a casa particular, which costs 5 CUC per person in most hostales. The price has now established itself and from my own experience I can say that the Cuban hosts conjure up a really delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, rolls, sausage, cheese and jam. Enjoying the famous Cuban coffee in a nice atmosphere makes a stay in a Casa Particular unforgettable. The Casa operators can also prepare lunch or dinner on request.
